Prerequisites
- A Linear workspace and access to the destination team
- Permission to authorize the Corelayer integration in that workspace
- Permission to manage integrations in the selected Corelayer group
- Permission to update the Corelayer issue you want to file
Connect Linear
- Select the Corelayer group that should own the connection.
- Open Integrations, click Add Integration, and select Linear.
- Click Connect with Linear.
- In Linear, choose the workspace and review the requested permissions, then authorize the connection.
- Return to Corelayer and open the Linear integration to review its available teams.
File a Corelayer Issue to Linear
- Open a Corelayer issue and choose File to Linear from its actions menu.
- Select the destination Team. A single available team is selected automatically.
- Optionally select a Project belonging to that team.
- Click Create Issue.
Ticket-provider actions depend on the selected Corelayer group’s connections. A group with both Linear and Jira can file to either provider and retain a link to each.
Manage the Connection
Review Teams
Open the Linear integration to see the teams available to the connected authorization. When filing a ticket, the project list follows the selected team; selecting a project is optional.Reconnect
If the integration reports Linear authorization expired or revoked, click Reconnect Linear and complete authorization again. Use a Linear account with access to the teams you need.Disconnect
Open the Linear integration, click Disconnect, and confirm. Corelayer can no longer use that connection to file tickets. Disconnecting does not delete issues already created in Linear.Troubleshooting
- File to Linear is missing: Confirm that Linear is connected in the selected Corelayer group. If the issue already has a saved Linear ticket, use its linked identifier.
- No teams appear: Check the authorizing account’s Linear workspace and team access. Reconnect if the integration reports an authorization error.
- No projects appear: Select the intended team and check its projects. You can create a ticket without a project.
- Ticket creation fails: Review the displayed error and confirm the authorization is valid and can create issues in the selected team.
